ADOPT A SPOT
ADOPT-A-SPOT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD
Joining the Adopt a Spot programme helps you take pride in your neighbourhood and respond quickly when graffiti appears. The Tag Out Trust supported by the Auckland Council supplies volunteers with a free graffiti removal kit.
Participating in Adopt-A-Spot simply involves the “adopting” of specific locations (transformers, power and lighting poles outside residential homes, local walkways used by school pupils and fences adjoining local parks) by organisations such as businesses, churches, neighbourhood groups, individual residents and families, and then making a commitment to keeping the area graffiti free.
The Tag Out Trust can provide you with a free Adopt-A-Spot kit to remove graffiti. Kits are put together to suit the individual requirements of the adoptee.
The following is available:
– 4 Litres of water based acrylic paint
– 4” fence paint brush
– Small paint roller and sleeves
– Citrus based liquid graffiti remover
– Latex gloves
– Information brochure
– Sand paper and block
– Wet paint tape
Standard paint colours available:
Miro Bark Brown
Kits are available to those who sign up to the programme and by prior arrangement kits can be picked up from the Tag Out Trust Office, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. By taking part in this programme you can take pride in your community, receive free products and all Auckland City ratepayers benefit from additional graffiti removal at no extra cost.
